Terms of Service
Last updated 7 October 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of melete.si and the products and services provided by Melete (“Melete”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) (together, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms for that organization and confirm you have the authority to do so.
1. The Services
Melete is an AI workspace where agents research, draft, and carry out work across a team’s tools, with human approval for consequential actions. We may add, change, or remove features over time. Some Services may be offered under a separate order form or agreement, which governs where it conflicts with these Terms.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when you create an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at yashas@melete.si of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services to: violate any law or the rights of others; send spam or deceptive communications; infringe intellectual property; upload malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system; interfere with or disrupt the Services; reverse engineer the hosted Services except as permitted by law or an open-source license; or develop a competing product using our confidential information. You must also follow the usage policies of the AI model providers used by the Services.
4. Your content
You retain all rights to the content you submit to the Services and the output generated for you (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide and secure the Services. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit Your Content and to connect third-party services.
5. AI output
Output generated by AI may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. Review output before relying on it or sending it to others. The Services do not provide legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. You are responsible for decisions made and actions approved using the Services.
6. Third-party services
The Services may connect to third-party products, such as email, messaging, storage, and AI model providers. Your use of those products is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
7. Open-source software
Portions of Melete are made available as open-source software under their own licenses. Those licenses govern your use of that software, and nothing in these Terms limits your rights under them.
8. Fees
Some Services may be offered for a fee. Any fees, billing terms, and taxes will be presented to you before you are charged. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
9. Intellectual property
Excluding Your Content and open-source software, the Services and all related intellectual property, including the Melete name, logo, and website content, are owned by Melete or its licensors. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
10. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other’s non-public information that it receives in connection with the Services with reasonable care, and use it only to perform under these Terms.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Services or other users. On termination, your right to use the Services ends, and sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
12. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim or US$100.
14. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Melete against third-party claims arising from Your Content or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date and give additional notice of material changes where appropriate. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept them.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
17. General
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services, unless a separate agreement applies. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
