# Build a literature matrix from a folder of papers

Method, sample, and findings for every paper, with a page number behind each entry.

Profession: Researchers & academics (https://melete.si/for/researchers/index.md)

Canonical page: https://melete.si/use-cases/literature-review-matrix/

## Example request

I have 63 PDFs for the review chapter on remote work and team communication. For each paper, record the research question, sample, method, main finding, and limitations in a Google Sheets matrix, with a page number for every entry. Group the papers by method, flag studies that contradict each other, and list claims in my draft that no paper in the folder supports.

## Workflow

1. Read each paper in the folder you share.
2. Record the key fields with page references in a matrix.
3. Group by method, flag contradictions, and check the claims in your draft.

## Result

A matrix you can sort and cite from, and a list of unsupported claims to fix.

## Human review

You verify extracted findings against the papers before citing them.

## Collaboration

Share the matrix with co-authors while your draft notes stay private.
