This Privacy Policy explains how Melete (“Melete”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit melete.si, use our products and services, or communicate with us (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here.

## Information we collect

Information you provide. This includes your name, email address, company, and role when you contact us, request a pilot or demo, sign up for updates, or create an account; content you submit to the Services, such as prompts, documents, and files; and any feedback you send us.

Information from connected services. If you or your organization connect third-party tools to Melete, such as email, chat, document, or project tools, we access the data those tools make available, within the permissions you grant, to perform the tasks you request.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we and our service providers may collect technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and dates and times of access. We use this to operate, secure, and improve the Services.

Cookies and local storage. Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Some pages store preferences and sample data in your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device. If we introduce cookies, they will be limited to what is needed to run and secure the Services, and we will update this policy.

## How we use information

- To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;

- To carry out the tasks you or your organization request, including through AI agents;

- To respond to inquiries and provide support;

- To send service-related notices and, where permitted, product updates you can opt out of at any time;

- To protect the security and integrity of the Services and prevent fraud and abuse;

- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

## AI processing

Melete uses AI models, provided by third-party model providers or deployed by you, to process the content involved in a task. Content is sent to a model provider only to perform that task, under terms that prohibit the provider from using it to train its models. Where you choose your own model provider, that provider’s terms also apply.

## How we share information

We share personal information only as follows:

- Service providers that host, process, or support the Services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, email, and AI model providers, bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations;

- Your organization , if you use the Services through a workspace your organization manages;

- Third-party services you connect , when you direct Melete to act in them;

- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or Melete;

- Business transfers , in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

## Self-hosted software

Parts of Melete are available as open-source software . If you run it on your own infrastructure, the data it processes stays under your control, and we do not receive it.

## Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services and to meet legal, accounting, and security requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

## Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls based on least privilege. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

## International transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. When we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

## Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

## Children

The Services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

## Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
